Czech Bible 1613

Czech Bible: The bible of Kralice was the first complete translation of the Bible from Hebrew and Greek into the Czech language. Translated by the “Unity of the Brethren” (i.e. Moravians) and printed in the town of Kralice in Oslavau, the first edition was published between the years 1579 and 1593. The third edition from 1613 is classic and till this day the most widely known and used Czech translation. The New Testament has been translated  from Greek by Jan Blahoslav (1523-1571) and published in 1564. He became a Moravian Bishop in 1557 and his NT translation into Czech of 1564 was incorporated into the Bible of Kralice. His education brought him to the university of Wittenberg, Germany, from 1544 where he sat at the feet of Martin Luther and got acquainted with Philipp Melanchton.
